Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd in BSD, Tangerang seeks a senior backend engineer to migrate a monolith PHP app to serverless microservices and enhance VueJS single-page applications. You will own architecture decisions and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable solutions in AWS.

You should have strong Python and JavaScript experience, with DB expertise (MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS Aurora, DynamoDB) and proficiency in Git/GitLab, CI/CD, and TDD practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Python.
• 4+ years of practical programming experience with JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with Vue.js, React, React Native and Query.
• Strong expertise with MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS Aurora and DynamoDB.
• NOSQL databases.
• Strong backend service development with Python or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and web services.
• Version control with Git (Gitlab).
• Passion for writing structured, efficient, maintainable code; QA and CI/CD mindset.
• Able to work at BSD, Tangerang.

Responsibilities

• Build & consuming REST API services (with the ability to create services preferred) in an AWS environment (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Work with third party JavaScript SDK and G2G API services.
• Draft architectural decisions with the Tech Lead and explore new technologies.
• Participate in agile retrospectives to improve team processes.
• Collaborate with partners, business stakeholders, and technical experts.
• Own product ideation through production deployment, support and maintenance.
• Propose solution alternatives, analyze tradeoffs, and make high-impact decisions.
• Migrate existing monolith PHP apps to serverless microservices and enhance VueJS SPAs.

What You'll Do:

• Build & consuming REST API services (with the ability to create services preferred) in an AWS environment (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)
• Work with third party JavaScript SDK and G2G API services
• Draft architectural decisions together with the Tech Lead and explore new technologies
• Have a direct impact on team processes by regular agile retrospectives
• Work well in teams, respecting and welcoming ideas from partners, business stakeholders, and technical experts
• You will have involvement and ownership from product ideation, design, development, to production deployment, support and maintenance
• Proposing solution alternatives, analyzing tradeoffs and making high impact product and engineering decisions
• You will be working on migrating existing monolith PHP application to serverless microservice apps and implementing improvements and new features to our various VueJS singlepage applications

What We're Looking For:
