Job summary

Glints is seeking a seasoned SQL Developer to design, optimize, and maintain data integration and ETL pipelines within insurance-related data environments. You will build complex SQL queries, tune performance, and collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

The role requires 4–6 years in SQL development, SSIS experience, and familiarity with Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and SQL Managed Instance, with English fluency and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related technical field.
• 4–6 years of SQL development experience, preferably in insurance.
• Strong ability to write/read complex queries and perform query tuning.
• Experience using SSIS for data integration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain calculation logic using Stored Procedures, SSIS, and SQL Job Scheduler.

Job description

• Working Arrangement: Full-time, Contract (Third-party agency)
• Working Hours: Effective 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Paid overtime based on operational requirements)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Logic & Automation: Build and maintain calculation logic using Stored Procedures, SSIS packages, and SQL Job Scheduler.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver accurate data solutions.
• Analytics: Provide analytical insights and support for data-driven decision-making.
• ETL Pipeline: Design, build, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data pipelines.
• Data Integration: Perform data integration across multiple systems.
• Data Governance: Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, error handling, and continuous improvements in data management processes.
• Database Optimization & Solutions:
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Design staging tables, indexes, and partitions.
• Monitor query performance and tune for efficiency.

Must Have

• SQL Proficiency: Mandatory strong ability to write/read complex queries and perform query tuning.
• Tools: Experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Cloud & Platform: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and SQL Managed Instance (SQLMI).
• Skills: Strong logical thinking, calculation skills, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Information Technology or a related technical field.

Experience & Qualifications

• Years of Experience: 4–6 years as a SQL Developer (Experience in the insurance industry preferred).
• Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of SQL Server tools, database performance, development, and maintenance.
• Security & Infrastructure: In-depth understanding of database security, backup/recovery, performance monitoring, and working knowledge of Windows Server infrastructures.
• Cloud Services: Prior experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, proactive, accountable, highly motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or in a team.
