Job summary

TOG Indonesia is seeking a data engineer to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and build robust data pipelines using SSIS and SQL. The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and analytics to support business decisions.

You will develop dashboards with Tableau and other BI tools, participate in SDLC processes, and collaborate with vendors and teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in Data Engineering in financial services or similar sector.
• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• Proficient in SQL Server, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools, especially SSIS; Talend or Pentaho is a plus.
• Proficient in BI tools, especially Tableau; Power BI or Qlik Sense is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create mocks, data pipelines, ERD, and Star Schema models.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Ability to prepare and maintain project and data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze user requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines from source systems to the data warehouse using SSIS and build data marts.
• Troubleshoot issues within existing data pipelines and document problems with resolutions.
• Manage data quality processes, including validation, cleansing, and monitoring.
• Optimize data pipeline performance and SQL queries.
• Support Data Governance practices including metadata management and data catalog maintenance.
• Serve as first-level support for data pipeline issues.
• Participate in strategic planning for data engineering and analytics.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Provide recommendations for policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Perform data analysis to generate actionable insights for decision-making.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or other BI tools; design interactive dashboards.
• Validate results and present findings clearly; evaluate dashboard performance and iterate.

• Optimize data pipeline performance and SQL queries to improve data processing efficiency.
• Support the implementation of Data Governance practices, including metadata management, data catalog maintenance, and adherence to enterprise data standards.
• Actively participate as a technical support member in solution development projects involving third‑party vendors or partners.
• Follow and comply with the organization's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and standards.
• Serve as the first-level support for data pipeline‑related issues and incidents.
• Participate in strategic planning initiatives related to data engineering and analytics.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and other related technical documents.
• Provide recommendations and continuous improvements for policies, guidelines, and operational procedures.

• Develop dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical reports using Tableau or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools, including designing informative and interactive dashboards to support business monitoring and decision‑making.
• Validate and interpret data analysis results, and present findings through clear and effective reports or presentations.
• Evaluate dashboard performance and continuously improve dashboards and visualizations based on user feedback and business requirements.

Requirements

• :Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• .Candidates with at least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering projects or activities within the financial services industry or a similar sector are also encouraged to apply
• .Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• .Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL
• .Hands‑on experience with Data Integration tools, particularly SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience with Talend or Pentaho is considered an advantage
• .Proficient in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, especially Tableau. Experience with other BI platforms such as Qlik Sense or Power BI is an advantage. Ability to perform data analysis and develop informative, interactive analytical dashboards to support business needs
