Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in HSE, safety compliance, risk management, or internal audit functions.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydrocarbon, or related industries preferred.
• Certified AK3U (General OHS Expert) highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HIRADC, incident investigation, safety auditing, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE programs in accordance with policies, customer requirements, and regulations.
• Conduct HIRADC to identify risks and implement controls.
• Perform safety inspections, audits, patrols, and compliance assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and environmental events with root cause analysis.
• Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency drills.
• Monitor environmental performance including waste management and spill control.
• Support teams in meeting HSE requirements from customers, auditors, and authorities.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, compliance records, audit findings, and permits.

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing effective risk management practices, conducting incident investigations, and driving a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders to promote safe, reliable, and sustainable operations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Controls (HIRADC) to identify operational risks and ensure effective mitigation measures are implemented.
• Perform safety inspections, audits, patrols, and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to HSE standards and procedures.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental events, including root cause analysis and corrective action management.
• Facilitate safety induction programs, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and emergency response drills to enhance workforce awareness and preparedness.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, pollution prevention, spill control, and regulatory compliance.
• Support operational teams in meeting HSE requirements from customers, auditors, and government authorities.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, compliance records, audit findings, incident reports, permits, and related documentation.
• Analyze HSE performance trends and provide recommendations to improve risk controls, compliance levels, and overall HSE effectiveness.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across all operational activities.
