Job description

Our client, a boutique luxury resort located on the stunning island of Gili, is actively seeking a talented Spa Supervisor to lead their team.

As a Spa Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a spa, ensuring high-quality service, and managing staff. This includes tasks like managing guest services, handling bookings and payments, and resolving guest concerns. You are also responsible for staff training, performance management, and maintaining spa facilities.

Requirements:

  • A hospitality degree from a recognised spa school or education is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position or as a spa trainer for a luxury spa destination.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, highly organised and problem-solving.
  • Willing to be based in Gili Island for an extended period of time.
  • Certification in massage therapy or spa treatments (e.g., Balinese massage, reflexology, aromatherapy).
  • Additional certifications in wellness, beauty, or physiotherapy are a plus!
  • Pre-opening or international work experience is beneficial.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the daily operations and guest experience of the spa, including bookings, team supervision, and treatment upselling.
  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the spa. In the event of guest complaints, effectively carry out service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Leads the therapist team, maintains spa hygiene and ambience, and coordinates with Front Office, operations manager and housekeeping.
  • Ensures inventory control, guest satisfaction, and overall spa performance meet the resort standards.
  • To assist the resort operations team in actively promoting spa & wellness programs and encourage leads to be passed to enable conversions.
  • Ensure the standards and methods of service are maintained as per the brand standard/manual.
  • To work in liaison with management to maintain all training standards.
  • Take active measures to ensure all needed equipment is available and in good working order at all times.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and practices and updating knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
  • Responsible for reviewing services, products and rates to remain relevant and in keeping with the brand's wellness and sustainability practices.
