Job summary

StraitsX Group is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable production systems. You will partner with development, security, and infra teams to ensure reliability, performance, and security across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will deploy, automate, monitor, and troubleshoot across Kubernetes, Docker, databases, and IaC tooling while driving automation, incident management, and architectural improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years engineering experience is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/CS or proven DevOps track record.
• Willingness to continuously upgrade skills and stay current with DevOps trends.
• Cloud-native tooling experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx, OpenTelemetry) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud servers (AWS, GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage cloud-based and on-prem production systems.
• Document high-level architecture and requirements for clear communication.
• Collaborate with security and infra teams to enforce security best practices.
• Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across platform and application domains.
• Suggest architectural improvements and process optimizations.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance the infrastructure stack.
• Remediate system security policies and drive automation for provisioning and scaling.
• Handle on-call duties, alerts, and incident management.
