Job summary

ECADIN is hiring an Engineer ESG to integrate environmental, social, and governance principles across mining, processing, and refining operations at Site Sumbawa Barat – Batu Hijau. You will drive data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement of ESG programs while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong community engagement.

The role requires 5+ years in ESG, familiarity with reporting standards, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to embed ESG in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Mining Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. A master’s degree will be an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental management, or related sustainability functions, preferably within mining, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong understanding of ESG principles, sustainability practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, validating, and managing ESG performance data and sustainability metrics.
• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including SASB, GRI, TCFD, ISSB, SDGs, and other relevant sustainability frameworks.
• Ability to interpret ESG regulations and incorporate compliance requirements into business and operational processes.
• Experience supporting ESG reporting, disclosures, audits, and sustainability documentation.
• Familiarity with ESG data management systems, reporting platforms, and digital tools to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.
• Proven ability to conduct ESG research, benchmarking, and analysis of emerging sustainability trends and regulatory developments.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and integrate ESG considerations into operational activities.
• Experience supporting ESG risk assessments, mitigation planning, responsible sourcing initiatives, and stakeholder engagement programs.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to deliver ESG training, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
• ESG or Sustainability Reporting certification will be an advantage.
• Environmental, compliance, or related professional certifications are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, support change initiatives, make sound decisions, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, risk assessment tools, GRC platforms, dashboards, and risk reporting systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Hold a valid Indonesian manual driving license (SIM A).

Responsibilities

• Collect ESG performance data across operations and report emissions, water management, biodiversity, safety, and community engagement activities.
• Support the preparation of ESG reports and disclosures in line with SASB, ISSB, SDGs, OJK, and IFC standards.
• Assist in development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ESG policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to promote ESG awareness and integrate ESG considerations into operations.
• Prepare ESG performance summaries, dashboards, and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct research and benchmarking on ESG trends, reporting standards, technologies, and best practices.
• Support implementation of management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 31001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
• Collaborate with departments to reduce environmental impacts and promote circular economy initiatives.
• Assist in ESG risk assessments and monitoring of mitigation plans.
• Monitor supply chain ESG risks and support responsible sourcing initiatives.
• Coordinate ESG audits, assessments, verifications, and external disclosures.
• Deliver ESG awareness programs, presentations, and training sessions.
• Identify opportunities to improve ESG reporting accuracy, efficiency, and digitalization through data tools.
• Support engagement with local communities, government representatives, consultants, and external parties on ESG matters.
• Assist with social impact assessments and human rights due diligence processes.
• Perform other duties to support the ESG function.
