Job summary

Samudera Indonesia is seeking a Marine Dispatcher to oversee day-to-day ship operation activities in Sorong, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will manage communications with the Ship's Master, monitor vessel movements, and coordinate schedules with captains and agents.

The role requires 1–2 years in vessel operations, proficiency with VHF/SSB radios and fleet tracking, and knowledge of Indonesian port procedures. Willingness to be based in Sorong, Papua Barat required.

Qualifications

• Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of working experience as a Marine Dispatcher or in vessel operations is preferred.
• Proficient in operating marine communication radios (VHF/SSB) and fleet tracking systems.
• Understand Indonesian port regulations, shipping documentation, and local maritime procedures.
• Willing to be placed in Sorong, Papua Barat.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day to day operational activities related to ship operation.
• Ensure compliance with organisation procedures and industry regulations to ensure the safe operation of ships.
• Manage primary communications link with the Ship's Master and customers.
• Monitor ship movements and cargo transfer operations.
• Analyze ships operational data to improve efficiency and performance.
• Monitor daily vessel movements and weather conditions in real-time using AIS and radio communication.
• Coordinate vessel schedules and transshipment operations with captains, agents, and management.
• Process and verify all required marine documents, including port clearances and cargo manifests.
• Act as the primary communication hub between the vessel, port authorities (KSOP), and the company.
• Report any operational incidents to the operations manager.

9. Act as the primary communication hub between the vessel, port authorities (KSOP), and the company.
10. Report any operational incidents, delays, or emergency situations promptly to the operations manager.

1. Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System, including the identification, documentation, and control of risks in the relevant department's work area.
2. Foster and ensure the commitment of every team member to understand and adhere to all applicable Integrated Management System requirements.
3. Be willing to participate in the investigation process of accidents, incidents, or actions that may lead to incidents caused by unsafe actions or unsafe conditions, including providing accurate information and reports based on known facts.
4. Be willing to engage in the information security control process applied to protect the information assets and information processing assets owned and/or managed by the Company from threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
