Hipster is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer who can shepherd digital products from requirements to high-fidelity designs and implementation.

You will work with clients, product managers, developers and other designers across projects in different industries and countries, focusing on mobile apps, websites, dashboards and complex interfaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional UI/UX or Product Design experience.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end UI/UX projects, not just visuals.
• Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, Auto Layout, prototyping and design systems.

Hipster is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer who can independently take digital products from requirements and ideas through user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes and implementation.

This is not primarily a graphic design role. We are looking for someone with strong experience designing mobile applications, websites, web applications, dashboards, admin panels and other complex digital interfaces.

You will work directly with clients, product managers, developers and other designers across projects in different industries and countries. You should be comfortable understanding business requirements, challenging assumptions, proposing solutions and presenting your design decisions clearly to stakeholders.

Candidates with agency experience are strongly preferred because this role involves working across multiple projects, industries and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and understand requirements directly from clients, product managers, developers and end-users.

Translate business and user requirements into information architecture, user journeys, user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.

Design intuitive and visually strong experiences for:

Mobile applications

Websites

Web applications

Kiosks and other digital interfaces

Create and maintain reusable UI components, design systems and style guides.

Design navigation, forms, workflows, tables, dashboards and complex interaction patterns.

Conduct user research, usability testing and design validation where required.

Identify usability problems and improve existing digital products.

Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Explain and defend design decisions based on user needs, usability principles and business requirements.

Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

Review developed interfaces and provide clear feedback before release.

Work independently across multiple projects while collaborating closely with the wider product and delivery team.

Stay updated with modern UI/UX practices, design systems, accessibility standards and digital product trends.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional UI/UX or Product Design experience.

Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UI/UX projects, not only visual designs.

Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, Auto Layout, prototyping and design systems.

Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, interaction design, responsive design, usability and visual hierarchy.

Proven experience designing mobile apps, websites and web applications.

Strong experience designing dashboards, admin panels or complex workflows.

Ability to turn incomplete or high-level requirements into structured and usable product experiences.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across screens and platforms.

Ability to work independently and manage design responsibilities across multiple projects.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Comfortable communicating directly with international clients and stakeholders.

Able to present design concepts clearly and explain the reasoning behind design decisions.

Comfortable receiving direct and constructive feedback and iterating quickly.

Previous experience working in a digital agency, software agency, consulting firm or fast-paced product environment.

Experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously.

Experience working with developers and understanding technical constraints.

Experience designing enterprise software, SaaS products or internal business systems.

Experience designing kiosks, self-service interfaces or other non-standard digital interfaces.

Experience working remotely with international and cross-functional teams.
