Job summary

SG-EDTS is seeking a junior UX/UI designer in Jakarta to join a fast-paced design team. You will learn and apply design systems, prototyping tools, and accessibility best practices across projects to create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect UI.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers, supporting user research and usability testing, and growing through hands-on experience, feedback, and mentorship from the design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, CS, IT or related field.
• GPA minimum 3.2/4.0 is required.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience.

Job description

What You Will Do:

• Learn and apply design systems, prototyping tools, and accessibility best practices across projects
• Create design artifacts across the full product lifecycle — user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect UI
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to design intuitive, impactful user experiences
• Support user research and usability testing to help inform design decisions
• Learn through hands-on project experience, feedback, and mentorship from the design team

Person We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0
• Fresh graduate or professional with up to 1 year of relevant work experience
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving ability, and UI/UX projects is required. Please include a link in your resume
• Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Strong problem-solving skills and a critical thinking mindset
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Have some hands-on experience using AI tools in the design process — for ideation, prototyping, or bridging design and development is a plus
• Interested in exploring UX Engineering and turning designs into functional, interactive prototypes
• Familiar with usability testing, such as moderated or unmoderated testing and heuristic evaluation
• Comfortable creating simple research plans, interview guides, or usability test scripts
• Open to working on design needs beyond product — such as presentation decks, web pages, or brand materials
• Have a basic understanding of motion design principles
