Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Procedure production welder who consistently meets quality standards and adheres to HSE policies. The role requires on-site welding with strict compliance to WPS and safety protocols.

You will carry welding qualifications on site, support safety, inspect equipment, and coordinate with foreman to rectify non-conformances, maintaining high productivity and adherence to company codes of conduct.

Qualifications

• Minimum Senior High School graduate.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry personal welder qualification card on site at all times.
• Attend TBSM and TBQM on time.
• Always ensure there is a valid WPS available for joint to be worked on and adhere to it.
• Survey surrounding area and act to minimize the risk of fire, explosion or injury which may be caused by the welding process.
• Inspect welding equipment ensuring that it is a safe working condition.
• Take care the welding equipment such as quiver, wire feeder, chipping gun, air grinder etc.
• Routing of welding cables and hoses in a safe manner.
• Maintaining the condition and legality of all hand tools and equipment.
• Report any non-conforming fit-ups or preparation to foreman.
• Visually inspect the complete weld and substrate material adjacent to it for any welding non-conformances or damage.
• Report to the foreman any welding non-conformance or damage and carry out rectification work as advised by the Foreman.
• Fill up the matrix box for the welder ID(Stamp), WPS, Preheat and date of completion.
• During welding and after welding remove all slag, spatter and clean weld with appropriate method leaving it in a presentable condition.
• High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct
