Job summary

Blibli seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer - Odoo Developer to design, build, and optimize Odoo-based applications. You will translate business requirements into scalable solutions and mentor junior developers.

You will implement integrations with third-party systems via REST APIs, XML-RPC, and JSON-RPC, optimize PostgreSQL performance, and participate in architecture discussions to uphold engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development, with at least 3 years in Odoo/ERP development.
• Strong Python programming and hands-on Odoo Community/Enterprise experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL design, query optimization, and performance tuning knowledge.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party apps via REST/XML-RPC/JSON-RPC.
• Solid understanding of OOP, software design principles, and application architecture.
• Experience with Git and Linux environments; familiarity with deployment processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Leadership experience, code reviews, mentoring, and architectural discussion familiarity.
• Bonus: Java or Spring Framework familiarity.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer - Odoo Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize Odoo-based applications across multiple business domains. You will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, build integrations with third-party systems, and ensure application performance, security, and reliability. Beyond hands-on development, you will contribute to technical architecture decisions, maintain engineering standards, and mentor junior developers to strengthen the team's technical capabilities.

What We'll Be Working On Together

Design, develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules across multiple business domains to support business requirements and operational processes.

Develop new features and enhancements using Python and the Odoo framework, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability.

Build and maintain integrations between Odoo and third-party applications using REST APIs, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, and other integration methods.

Optimize application performance, PostgreSQL database queries, and system scalability to ensure reliable system operations.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.

Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and apply software engineering best practices to maintain high-quality development.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, manage module migrations and upgrades across Odoo versions, and ensure system stability.

Contribute to technical architecture discussions and decision-making, maintain technical documentation, and mentor junior developers to support continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also considered.

Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Odoo/ERP development experience.

Strong proficiency in Python programming and extensive experience with Odoo Community and/or Enterprise editions.

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party applications using REST APIs, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, or similar technologies.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), software design principles, and application architecture.

Experience with Git and modern version control workflows, as well as Linux environments and software deployment processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience in technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and architectural discussions is highly valued.

Familiarity with Java and/or the Spring Framework is a plus.
