Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Software Development Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in RPG iSeries (AS/400) development to design, build, test, and support RPG-based applications within a micro-services environment. The role emphasizes SQL RPGLE, CLLE, PF, DSPF, PRTF, FTP, and related IBM iSeries technologies.

On-site work is required, with collaboration across teams and clients to ensure system stability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience as RPG iSeries (AS/400) Developer.
Strong knowledge of RPGLE, SQL RPGLE, CLLE, PF, DSPF, PRTF, FTP, and IBM iSeries/AS400 technologies.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and develop solutions within the AS400/iSeries environment.
Design, develop, test, and maintain RPG-based applications and programs.
Perform application enhancement, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
Develop and optimize database queries based on business and operational requirements.
Collaborate with business users, QA, and technical teams during development, testing, and deployment activities.
Perform system and application support to ensure stability, performance, and business continuity.
Follow SDLC processes and development standards throughout project implementation.
