Job summary

Mcdermott International is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Control Technician for a fully remote role. You will design, configure, and maintain PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for clients worldwide, with emphasis on process control theory and a wide range of sensors and actuators.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on experience, strong PLC/DCS knowledge, and proficiency in ladder logic and Structured Text. Travel is minimal as a remote position with collaboration via virtual tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years hands-on experience with instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Remotely design, configure, and implement instrumentation and control systems including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support for complex issues.
• Develop and execute calibration procedures for industrial instruments.
• Analyze system performance data and implement optimizations.
• Write, modify, and debug PLC and DCS programs for process control.
• Collaborate with client teams via virtual tools and develop technical documentation.
