Job summary

Leighton Asia, a CIMIC Group company, invites high-calibre candidates for a Quantity Surveyor role in Indonesia. You will manage estimates, tenders, and contract administration while supporting the Commercial Manager to safeguard project finances.

A strong on-site background and leadership of a survey team are essential, with emphasis on safety and compliance. The role requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a Quantity Surveyor certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma in civil engineering or related field is required.
• Experience leading a quantity surveying team is essential.
• Solid exposure to civil/construction projects and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity survey documents, budgets, and cost estimates.
• Attend tenders, prepare reports, and support the commercial manager.
• Organise contract execution and subcontractor payment processes.
• Ensure accurate cost projection for works in progress.
• Review interim payments, claims, and anticipated contractor costs.
• Oversee subcontractors' payment applications and variation submissions.
• Review variation orders and assist with final accounts.
• Promote safe, environmentally friendly work practices and compliance.

Job Duties

1. To manage the preparation of various Quantity Surveying documents including budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and Costs Estimates.
2. To attend tender procedure and prepare tender report and support commercial manager to support the tender process
3. To organize the preparation and monitoring of the execution of contract and contractual correspondences as well as contractor’s valuation
4. To ensure the cost evaluation/projection preparation to meet the requirements of works in progress
5. To review monthly statement which includes but not limited to recommendation on interim payments, statement of claims from contractor, anticipated claims from contractor and assessment of costs of works and expected final cost.
6. To direct the regulation and review the accuracy and relevancy of subcontractors’ applications for payment, variation submission and pursuit of claims and advise requirement of contract.
7. To review the variation orders report
8. To provide assistance to Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager on contractual issues, in preparing and approving contractor’s final accounts and finalize the account of project
9. To enforce safe and environmentally friendly working procedures in order to ensure the excellent safety record and encourage employee participation in health and safety matters in order to comply with statutory requirements and HSE expectation.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in civil engineering, construction or related disciplines
• Quantity survey certificate or diploma
• Have extensive on-site experience performing quantity survey in construction, road or civil projects.
• Have experience in leading a surveyor team
• Experience working at civil contractor is preferred
• 7++ years solid experience in quantity surveyor
• willing to be placed in our project location and follow company roster schedule
