Job summary

PT Alcotraindo Batam, a cigarette manufacturer, seeks a hands-on Quality Manager to take ownership of product quality across a 20+ person team in a multi-shift operation.

You will lead quality across primary/secondary manufacturing, incoming material inspection and the CI laboratory, driving KPIs and CAPA while partnering with cross-functional teams to raise audit readiness and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in the tobacco industry with production/manufacturing quality
• Proven leadership of multi-shift manufacturing teams (20+ people)
• Hands-on shopfloor leadership; not desk-bound QMS role
• Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills (Six Sigma, 8D or FMEA)
• Adaptable to change with diverse ideas and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Own product quality across Primary and Secondary manufacturing and QC lab
• Lead and develop a 20+ person quality team across shifts
• Own the site's quality management system: document control, internal audits, CAPA
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Planning and Warehouse to reduce customer complaints
• Support product development with trials and technical input on new products and materials
