Job summary

Our client, a leading healthcare manufacturing group, seeks a Procurement Section Head (Expat) to oversee end-to-end procurement, supplier management, and warehouse operations at their Sumatera, Indonesia site.

The role reports to the Head of Commercial and requires collaboration with senior leadership, engineering, and operations. Expatriate-friendly environment with a demanding but rewarding leadership path.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
15+ years of procurement experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
Currently serving as Procurement Section Head or deputy in a similar leadership role.
Proven leadership with measurable procurement optimization results.
Proficient in procurement systems and IT collaboration (e.g., Oracle).
Excellent communication, and strong Excel and Word skills.
Expatriate-only role, preferably with South Asia exposure.

Responsibilities

Oversee general procurement with focus on pricing, terms, and cost efficiency.
Lead capital and expansion procurement initiatives with engineering/operations liaison.
Maintain internal controls for ethical procurement processes.
Ensure supplier qualification, vetting, and audits per internal standards.
Manage warehouse, stores, and customs operations for efficient material flow.
Drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply-chain processes.
