Job summary

Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore is seeking a senior Process Safety Engineer with a strong background in offshore oil and gas safety. The role focuses on leading risk assessments, applying HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA/SIL techniques, and ensuring compliance with global safety standards for FPU projects.

Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's in a related engineering field, with 10 years of relevant offshore experience and a track record in implementing process safety management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications in process safety or project management can be advantageous
• 10 years of experience in process safety engineering within the offshore oil and gas industry and familiarity with risk assessment and management for offshore structures
• Experience with safety analysis techniques such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and SIL
• Experience with safety standards and guidelines (e.g., API, OSHA, ISO) related to FPU projects
• Experience in safety studies and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Experience in developing and implementing process safety management systems
