Job summary

PT. SAPTAINDRA SEJATI in Jakarta is seeking a skilled Training & Development Specialist to lead mechanic training initiatives aligned with company standards and mining operations.

You will design and deliver structured programs, coordinate resources and vendors, monitor effectiveness, and ensure mechanics have Individual Development Plans. Willingness to travel occasionally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of Training & Development, Production, or Operations experience.
• Completed Basic Maintenance Course (BMC) training.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing and delivering structured training programs.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to be based in Jakarta and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate mechanic training programs based on competency needs.
• Ensure readiness of training materials, facilities, instructors, and resources.
• Coordinate procurement and fulfillment of training needs from HQ and vendors.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, including assessments and certifications.
• Oversee the Mechanic Preparation Program (MPP) and Individual Development Plans (IDP).
• Prepare periodic reports, identify risks, and drive program improvements.

Job description

Manage and coordinate the implementation of mechanic training and development programs to enhance competency, readiness, and development in line with company standards and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate mechanic training and development programs based on competency needs, company standards, and development plans.

Ensure the readiness of training materials, facilities, instructors, participants, modules, and other supporting resources in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Coordinate procurement and fulfillment of training needs from Head Office and vendors, including monitoring orders, delivery, and availability at the worksite.

Monitor and evaluate training implementation and effectiveness, including assessments, post-tests, certification, and appropriate follow-up actions.

Coordinate and monitor the Mechanic Preparation Program (MPP) and ensure each mechanic has an Individual Development Plan (IDP) aligned with competency requirements.

Review mechanic development progress, identify competency gaps and implementation challenges, and coordinate improvement actions with instructors and relevant functions.

Prepare periodic program reports, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and ensure mechanic development programs remain aligned with operational and organizational needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related major

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Training & Development, Production, or Operations, preferably in mining, mining contractors, or heavy industry

Completed BMC (Basic Maintenance Course) training

Knowledge of heavy equipment technical development, preventive maintenance, product knowledge, and machine troubleshooting

Experience in designing and delivering structured training programs is an advantage

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Willing to be based in Jakarta and travel occasionally as required
