Job summary

PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to develop, implement and monitor health, safety and environmental programmes across mining operations. You will conduct site inspections, lead safety training, investigate incidents and supervise a team to enforce compliance with Indonesian regulations.

The role requires formal HSE qualifications, at least five years in mining or related sectors, strong root-cause analysis skills, and the ability to work in remote environments.

Qualifications

• Formal HSE qualifications certification or equivalent internationally recognised HSE credentials.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in mining, resources or energy sector HSE roles.
• Demonstrated supervisory or management experience overseeing HSE programmes in high-risk industrial environments.
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills with the ability to implement effective corrective measures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with personnel at all levels.
• Proficiency in HSE management systems, incident reporting software and data analysis tools.
• Proven ability to work effectively in remote or challenging environments typical of mining operations.
• Fluency in Indonesian and English languages, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the operational site as required.
• Physical fitness to work in mining environments and complete site-based duties.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive health, safety and environmental programmes across all mining operations
• Conducting regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions
• Leading safety training sessions and inductions for all personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Investigating workplace incidents, accidents and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending preventative measures
• Maintaining detailed HSE records, documentation and reporting systems in accordance with Indonesian mining regulations
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and external HSE consultants to ensure ongoing compliance with local and national standards
• Supervising and coaching team members on HSE best practices and promoting a proactive safety mindset across the workforce
• Developing and managing HSE budgets and ensuring cost-effective implementation of safety programmes
• Conducting toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns to reinforce safety culture within the operation
• Monitoring environmental controls and ensuring waste management and pollution prevention protocols are followed
