Job summary

PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya is seeking an HSE professional to lead safety and environmental oversight on our mining sites in Indonesia. You will conduct safety briefings, inspect sites, monitor compliance, and document incidents to drive improvements.

The role requires formal HSE qualifications, 2-3 years of relevant mining or construction experience, and strong communication skills to engage teams at all levels. Indonesian proficiency is essential; English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Formal HSE qualifications or certifications relevant to mining operations
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in health, safety, and environmental roles within the mining or construction industries
• Strong knowledge of mining hazards, safety regulations, and environmental best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with teams at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement preventative measures proactively
• Proficiency in HSE documentation, reporting systems, and data management
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding mining environments, including varying weather conditions
• Fluency in Indonesian language; English language skills are advantageous
• Valid driver's license and willingness to undergo medical assessments as required
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with HSE regulations and industry best practices
• PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya (AMJ) is a fast-growing company in Indonesia with an extensive international experience in the commodity market.
• Fields of interest of AMJ are mineral mining, smelting, transshipments and sea transportation.
• The company currently holds five nickel mining concessions in Indonesia and actively implements global scale plans for mineral processing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks with mining teams to promote awareness of hazards and safe work practices
• Inspect work sites and equipment to identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks before work commences
• Monitor employee compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout shifts
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
• Maintain accurate HSE records, including safety inspections, incident reports, and training documentation
• Coordinate with site management to ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
• Supervise junior workers and contractors, providing guidance on safe work methods and procedures
• Participate in HSE audits and implement improvements based on audit findings
• Report HSE performance metrics and identified risks to senior HSE management
• Support environmental monitoring and waste management initiatives on site
