Job summary

Beca in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings MEP team. You'll lead the delivery of mechanical engineering packages across feasibility to construction, working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in a consulting building services environment, strong ACMV expertise, and leadership of mid/large projects. Proficiency in BIM tools and strong English/Bahasa Indonesia communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in a consulting engineering environment delivering building services projects.
• Strong ACMV and mechanical building services design expertise.
• Proven leadership of mechanical design packages on medium to large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of Indonesian and international standards and design practices.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams during project delivery.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia communication and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in relevant design and engineering software.
• Desirable SKK certification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering packages across all project stages.
• Prepare and review calculations, reports, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with electrical, hydraulic, fire, structural, architectural, and BIM disciplines.
• Act as a technical lead on projects, ensuring designs are practical and compliant.
• Provide mentoring and day-to-day guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Review design deliverables to maintain high standards of quality.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with regional teams across Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, technical innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices.
