Job summary

Japanese engineering and trading company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Leader to drive the design of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and support automation projects. The role emphasizes mechanical design, calculations, and cross-functional collaboration across production, electrical, and project teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3–7 years in mechanical design, and proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience with special-purpose machines, automation systems, or machine manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD tools (GstarCAD or AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Experience preparing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
• Create 2D and 3D drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOM).
• Perform engineering calculations and design reviews.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, and project teams.
• Support machine installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
