Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel seeks a National Marine Manager to provide technical leadership and oversee marine operations for complex Oil & Gas project logistics. You will ensure safe, compliant and efficient transport, focusing on project cargo, vessel readiness, cargo operations, and coordination with customers and partners.

You will lead marine transportation activities, oversee planning and execution using LCTs and MPVs, assess vessel readiness, and ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 15 years in marine operations with senior leadership experience.
• Experience in project cargo, breakbulk, containerised and RoRo transport.
• Knowledge of vessel vetting, chartering, operations and voyage planning.
• Proficiency in English; Indonesian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead marine transportation activities for project cargo and RoRo operations.
• Oversee planning and execution using LCT and MPV vessels.
• Assess vessel readiness, inspections, approvals and compliance.
• Coordinate loading/discharge, stowage, lifting, and stability.
• Oversee voyage planning, schedules, weather considerations and performance.
• Collaborate with vessel owners, ports, and project teams to ensure timely operations.
• Identify risks, implement corrective actions and drive safety improvement.
