Job summary

National Oilwell Varco in Batam is seeking a Lifting / Rigging Methods Engineer to develop, review, and support safe lifting, rigging, and installation methods for project operations. You will ensure plans are engineered, risk assessed, documented, and executed per standards and project requirements.

You will coordinate with construction, fabrication, marine, logistics, HSE, QA/QC, and operations teams, perform constructability reviews, and provide practical engineering solutions for lifting

Qualifications

• Experience designing lifting methods, lift plans, and risk assessments.
• Ability to coordinate with construction, marine, logistics, and QA/QC teams.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare method statements, rigging sketches, lift plans, and risk assessments.
• Ensure lifting procedures specify work sequence, equipment, roles, and emergency arrangements.
• Provide technical support during lifting operations and verify equipment certification.
• Monitor lifts and ensure adherence to approved plans.
• Review vendor lifting plans and maintain calculations and documentation.
