Job summary

PT Indah Kreasi Eco Andalas is seeking a Mobile Crane Operator to join our team at project sites across Indonesia. Responsibilities include operating a 25–100 Ton Mobile Crane or higher, following lifting plans, and coordinating with Riggers and Signalmen to ensure safe and efficient material handling.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience, a valid SIO Mobile Crane, and a solid understanding of load charts and lifting practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School (SMA/SMK) graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Operator in manufacturing, construction, mining, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
• Possess a valid SIO Mobile Crane issued by the relevant authority.
• Good understanding of crane load charts, lifting capacity calculations, center of gravity, and safe lifting practices.
• Able to read lifting diagrams and understand load distribution.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile crane safely and efficiently to lift, move, position, and place heavy materials, machinery, and equipment as per lifting plans and requirements.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections of the mobile crane (brakes, hydraulic systems, wire ropes, hooks, outriggers, tires, engine, safety devices).
• Coordinate with Riggers, Signalmen, Supervisors, and other personnel to ensure safe lifting operations.
• Inspect lifting accessories (slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams, wire ropes) before each operation.
• Monitor crane performance during operation and report defects or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operation, daily inspections, maintenance requests, and lifting activities.
• Assist in positioning and setup of the crane, including outrigger deployment and ground stability assessment.
• Ensure the crane is secured and parked after use per company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of crane and work area.
• Comply with HSE regulations and company lifting procedures at all times.
• Support project, logistics, and production activities for efficient material handling.

Job description

Operate mobile crane safely and efficiently to lift, move, position, and place heavy materials, machinery, and equipment in accordance with lifting plans and operational requirements.

Perform daily pre-operational inspections of the mobile crane, including brakes, hydraulic systems, wire ropes, hooks, outriggers, tires, engine, and safety devices.

Ensure all lifting operations comply with approved lifting procedures, load charts, and company HSE standards.

Coordinate closely with Riggers, Signalmen, Supervisors, and other personnel during lifting activities to ensure safe operations.

Inspect lifting accessories such as slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams, and wire ropes before each operation.

Monitor crane performance during operation and immediately report any equipment defects, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions.

Maintain accurate records of crane operation, daily inspections, maintenance requests, and lifting activities.

Assist in positioning and setting up the crane, including proper outrigger deployment and ground stability assessment before lifting operations.

Ensure the crane is properly secured and parked after use in accordance with company procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the assigned crane and work area.

Comply with company policies, lifting procedures, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations at all times.

Support project, logistics, and production activities to ensure efficient material handling operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum High School (SMA/SMK) graduate or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Operator in manufacturing, construction, mining, oil & gas, or industrial projects.

Possess a valid SIO Mobile Crane issued by the relevant authority.

Good understanding of crane load charts, lifting capacity calculations, center of gravity, and safe lifting practices.

Able to perform daily inspections and identify mechanical or hydraulic abnormalities before crane operation.

Familiar with crane components, hydraulic systems, outriggers, boom operation, and lifting accessories.

Good understanding of lifting plans, rigging practices, hand signals, and communication procedures with Signalmen and Riggers.

Physically fit, disciplined, responsible, and committed to safe working practices.

Able to work independently and under pressure in various site conditions.

Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel to project sites when required.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, 5S/5R, and HSE practices will be an advantage.

Experience operating 25–100 Ton Mobile Crane or higher is preferred.

Familiar with Lifting Plan, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.

Able to read lifting diagrams and understand load distribution.

No history of major safety violations or traffic accidents.

Possession of Basic K3 Certification will be an advantage.
