Job summary

PT. Austin Engineering Indonesia is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to oversee all lifting operations within our heavy industrial site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

You will plan, supervise, and coordinate crane operators and riggers, conduct risk assessments, maintain equipment records, and promote a strong safety culture on site in Batam. Requirements include 5+ years’ experience, valid Lifting Supervisor certification, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor in heavy industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments.
• Valid Lifting Supervisor certification and knowledge of lifting equipment and safety standards.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safe lift plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Ensure cranes, hoists, slings, shackles are inspected and maintained per regulations.
• Direct and coordinate crane operators, riggers, and lifting personnel.
• Monitor lift plans and safety procedures; investigate incidents and near misses.
• Provide on-site training and maintain records of operations and certifications.
