Job summary

PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park is seeking a Legal Supervisor to lead the in-house legal team in Jakarta Selatan. The role focuses on supervising daily legal operations, providing strategic legal guidance, and ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations across the organization.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements, managing external counsel, and mentoring junior staff while reporting to senior management and the board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognised institution.
• Admission to the Indonesian Bar Association (Advokat Indonesia).
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in Indonesian corporate law, commercial law, and contract management.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with pragmatic advice.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day legal department activities.
• Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate matters, contracts, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and lease agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian laws, environmental regulations, corporate governance, and industry regulations.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and coordinate outsourced matters.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory developments and advise management.
• Support resolution of disputes, litigation matters, and claims management.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff and prepare reports for senior management.
• Represent the company in communications with government agencies and regulators.
