About the role We are seeking a Legal Supervisor to join our in‑house legal team at our Jakarta Selatan office on a full‑time basis. In this supervisory position, you will play a vital role in overseeing the legal operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations, and providing strategic legal guidance to support the company's business objectives. This role holds significant importance within our corporate structure, bridging legal expertise with operational management to safeguard the company's interests and facilitate informed decision‑making across all business units.
Supervise and coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of the legal department, ensuring efficient case management and timely delivery of legal services.
Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate matters, contracts, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions relevant to industrial park operations.
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, lease agreements, service contracts, and other legal documents.
Ensure the company's compliance with Indonesian laws, environmental regulations, corporate governance requirements, and industry‑specific legislation.
Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate outsourced legal matters.
Conduct legal research on emerging regulatory requirements and advise management on implications for business operations.
Support the resolution of disputes, litigation matters, and claims management.
Mentor and supervise junior legal staff, providing guidance on legal analysis, document preparation, and professional development.
Prepare legal reports and briefings for senior management and the board of directors.
Represent the company in communications with government agencies, regulators, and external stakeholders on legal matters.
A Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognised institution, with admission to the Indonesian Bar Association (Advokat Indonesia).
Minimum 5-7 years of post‑qualification legal experience in an in‑house legal role or commercial law firm environment.
Proven supervisory or team leadership experience within a legal department.
Strong expertise in Indonesian corporate law, commercial law, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
Solid understanding of environmental law, labour law and industrial/business park regulations in Indonesia.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to handle complex commercial agreements.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially‑focused legal advice.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Professional certifications or specialisation in corporate law, compliance, or industrial law would be advantageous.
