Job summary

Traveloka's Legal team drives the company’s growth across Southeast Asia by handling complex commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and data privacy matters. The Legal Counsel role focuses on end-to-end deal work, advising senior leaders, and shaping governance frameworks in a fast-moving tech environment.

You will develop playbooks, templates, and risk frameworks, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to balance legal risk with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience including time at a reputable law firm and in an in-house legal team
• Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English; strong written and verbal communication
• LLB and required qualifications
• Regulatory knowledge across digital travel, payments, privacy and consumer protection

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements including partner, supplier, aggregator, distribution, and technology agreements
• Advise and persuade senior business leaders on high-stakes deals and initiatives
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects and develop playbooks and templates
• Own the regulatory posture for the domain and design operational responses
• Engage regulators and external counsel on specialist matters
• Provide practical legal advice on new business initiatives, product launches, and partnerships
