ASTRO is Indonesia's first quick commerce platform delivering groceries and essentials within 15 minutes, 24/7. We are looking for a Senior Lead Frozen Warehouse to head Fresh and Frozen operations, driving excellence through data-driven decisions and hands-on leadership.

You will identify gaps, translate insights into practical improvements, and ensure cold chain integrity, product quality, and high inventory accuracy across multiple warehouses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in warehousing environments with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience handling Fresh and Frozen products, cold chain, and food safety.
• Strong understanding of WMS and ability to identify gaps for improvements.
• Excellent analytical and data-to-action thinking to relate insights to operations.
• Hands-on, assertive leadership with drive to execute and develop teams.
• Strong problem-solving, cost management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to work from warehouse locations ~4 days/week and travel between warehouses.

• Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring performance, accuracy, quality, and service levels.
• Identify gaps in WMS, processes, and performance data; translate findings into improvements.
• Analyze warehouse data alongside field conditions to address root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards for Fresh and Frozen products, cold chain and food safety in collaboration with Quality teams.
• Drive productivity, cost efficiency, and wastage reduction through standardization and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop warehouse teams with clear performance expectations and disciplined execution.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Category, Fleet, and other stakeholders to sustain operational excellence.

About this role

As a Senior Lead Frozen Warehouse, you will lead Fresh and Frozen warehouse operations, driving operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and strong execution on the ground. You will identify gaps in warehouse processes and WMS, translate data insights into practical improvement plans, and ensure high standards of product quality, inventory accuracy, cold chain integrity, and operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who combines strong analytical thinking with operational expertise, challenges existing processes, and drives teams to deliver measurable improvements. You will work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Category, Fleet, and other stakeholders to continuously improve warehouse performance and ensure operational standards are consistently maintained across locations.

Job Description:

As our Astronaut, your missions are:

• Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring operational performance, inventory accuracy, product quality, and service levels.
• Identify gaps in WMS, operational processes, and performance data, translating findings into practical system and process improvements.
• Analyze warehouse data alongside actual field conditions to identify root causes, anticipate potential issues, and drive targeted corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards of Fresh and Frozen product quality, cold chain management, food safety, and hygiene, while partnering with Quality teams to address gaps and challenge existing practices when needed.
• Drive productivity, cost efficiency, and wastage reduction through process standardization and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop warehouse teams with strong operational discipline, clear performance expectations, and effective execution of improvement plans.
• Lead warehouse teams and collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Category, Fleet, and other stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

In order to launch your mission successfully, you need to have:

• Minimum 10 years of warehousing experience, including 5+ years in managerial or leadership roles.
• Strong experience in warehouse operations, preferably involving Fresh and Frozen products, cold chain management, and food safety.
• Solid understanding of WMS, with the ability to identify system gaps and drive practical improvements.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to connect data insights to actual warehouse conditions and actionable solutions.
• Hands-on, assertive leader with a strong presence, capable of driving execution, challenging existing practices, and developing team capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving, cost management, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work primarily from warehouse locations (approximately 4 days per week), attend HQ or other meeting points, and travel across multiple warehouses.
