Job summary

BINAR seeks a backend support specialist in Jakarta, focused on troubleshooting, debugging, and ensuring system reliability for lending services. You will collaborate with backend engineers, infra teams, and vendors to keep services stable and performant.

Role is 12-month contract with hybrid work in South Jakarta; requires 3+ years in backend support and fluency in English. Strong knowledge of distributed systems, databases, and observability tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in backend support or production operations.
• Strong knowledge of backend and distributed systems concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing) – mandatory.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL) for data investigations.
• Familiar with observability tools to trace transaction flows.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and debugging of backend services and integrations.
• Identify root causes of production issues across distributed systems using logs and monitoring tools.
• Act as technical liaison with vendors and third-party providers to resolve integrations.
• Analyze capacity, performance, and stability; identify bottlenecks and optimizations.
• Collaborate on RCA and implement permanent fixes with backend and infra teams.
• Review architecture to understand failure points in large-scale systems.
• Provide clear diagnostic findings to speed up resolutions.
