Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Batam is seeking a data-driven Senior Industrial Engineer – SAP Specialist to own SAP master data and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will partner with Operations Leaders to provide accurate data-driven insights, detect daily manufacturing abnormalities, and engineer leaner workflows using data as your toolkit. Key tasks include SAP master data management, labor standards, line balancing, product costing analyses, and daily ops support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on functional experience with SAP PP and MM modules.
• Proven track record applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Root Cause Analysis).
• Knowledge in capacity planning, material flow, shopfloor planning and layout, line balancing.
• Advanced proficiency in data extraction and analysis (Excel, PowerBI) to translate raw SAP data into actionable shop-floor improvements.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and project management skill.

Responsibilities

• SAP Master Data Ownership: Manage BOMs, Routings, and Work Centers in SAP modules to ensure seamless production execution.
• Labor Standards & Line Balancing: Establish and update labor standards and machine capacities in SAP based on time studies and VSM.
• Product Costing & Variance Analysis: Analyze costing structures; track variances, scrap rates, and labor inefficiencies.
• Abnormality Detection & Daily Ops Support: Design SAP dashboards to flag daily operational issues like delays and inventory discrepancies.
• Lean & Continuous Improvement: Use SAP data trends to identify bottlenecks and justify CI projects.
• Comply to manufacturing procedures of quality, environment, health and safety in daily work.

We are seeking a data-driven Senior Industrial Engineer – SAP Specialist as part of our Industrial Engineering team who will own the integrity of manufacturing master data and leverage SAP to drive continuous improvement. You will partner directly with Operations Leaders to support business by providing accurate data-driven insight, detect daily manufacturing abnormalities, eliminate waste, and engineer leaner workflows using data as your toolkit.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP Master Data Ownership: Manage and optimize BOMs, Routings, and Work Centers within SAP core modules to ensure seamless execution on the production floor.
• Labor Standards & Line Balancing: Establish, audit, and update labor standards and machine capacities in SAP based on time studies and value stream mapping to ensure accurate capacity planning.
• Product Costing & Variance Analysis: Partner with Finance and Operations to analyze product costing structures. Identify, track, and systematically eliminate standard vs. actual cost variances, scrap rates, and labor inefficiencies.
• Abnormality Detection & Daily Ops Support: Design and monitor SAP-based dashboards to flag daily operational abnormalities (e.g., confirmation delays, yield drops, inventory discrepancies)
• Lean & Continuous Improvement: Use historical SAP data trends to identify bottlenecks, justify capital expenditures, and lead CI projects.
• Comply to manufacturing procedure of quality, environment, health and safety in daily work.
