Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking an experienced actuarial professional in Jakarta to manage IFRS17 reserves, group reporting, and quarterly/annual analysis. You will partner with accounting and regional teams, contribute to model changes, and drive improvements in templates and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in math/statistics/actuarial with minimum 5 years of work experience.
• Fellow of an actuarial organization (e.g. PAI, SOA, IAAust, IA).
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Demonstrate good communication with other teams.
• Preferable knowledge of AXIS actuarial software.
• Preferable experience coaching / managing juniors / team.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate IFRS17 reserve (including non-system reserve) and end-to-end production.
• Prepare Driver of Earning template and analyze IFRS17 portfolios for Quarter End.
• Produce accurate Quarterly and Annual Group Reporting.
• Collaborate with accounting on reserve booking and regional IFRS17 reporting.
• Work with VSSC on production model and model change management for IFRS17.
• Support IFRS17 Core Earning and CSM monthly forecast and management reporting.
• Handle MMR and Health MMR and Business Review material for IFRS17.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes with templates or automation.
• Lead ad-hoc actuarial IFRS17 projects with other teams.
• Coach junior team members and provide peer reviews.
