Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific seeks a Health, Safety and Environment Engineer to supervise a team delivering HSE programs for clients. You will oversee playbooks, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as the SME for staff on safety and environmental matters.

Based in Batam, this role requires strong organizational skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to explain complex concepts. You will drive continuous improvement while aligning with CBRE RISE values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function.
• Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and client needs.
• Evaluate new and existing programs for suitability and changes.
• Support monitoring of injury, illness, and incident-related performance.
• Act as a resource to staff as the subject matter expert on HSE.
• Oversee plans and playbooks, ensuring they are current and implemented.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
• Establish work schedules and delegate tasks to staff.
• Resolve complex problems and guide teams toward objectives.
• May establish new techniques to help the team meet objectives.
• Influence team and related teams to achieve objectives and positive customer impact.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values; help build consensus.
