Job summary

Hilton Jakarta Bintaro Jaya seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s engineering operations, ensuring safety, reliability and guest comfort across all systems, plant and equipment.

The role requires a recognized engineering degree, 10+ years in hotel/building services, and 5+ years in senior engineering roles within a 5-star environment, with expertise in HVAC and life-safety systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant certification.
• 10+ years in hotel/building services or related field, 5+ years as Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel.
• Trade-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitting.
• Flexible schedule; available 24/7 for emergencies.
• Specialized knowledge in HVAC, water treatment, hydraulics, chillers, electronics, lighting, elevators, fire safety, and related systems.
• Skilled in maintaining all hotel building services (e.g., security, A/C, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, laundry, lifts, TV/sound systems).

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations: direct functionality, safety, and compliance of buildings and systems.
• Oversee facility maintenance: supervise installation, maintenance, and repairs of essential systems.
• Direct capital projects and property rehabilitations, scheduling, budgeting, and licensing.
• Manage work order fulfillment and documentation in the PMMS.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with permits and inspections.
• Cultivate a high-performing team through development and recognition.
• Foster cross-department communication between Engineering and hotel areas.
• Maintain high guest privacy and service quality while ensuring safety and efficiency.
