Job summary

Adaro Mining is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to plan, analyse, and review geotechnical and hydrogeological designs for open-pit mining projects. You will collect and validate field and laboratory data and develop models to support mine planning and infrastructure design.

You will review contractor recommendations, provide technical guidance to the engineering teams, and prepare clear reports summarizing results, assumptions, analyses, and conclusions. Site visits are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in geological/mining/civil engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 years of professional mining geotechnical experience
• Proficient in geotechnical software RS2, Slide2, Visual MODFLOW Flex
• Willing to conduct site visits as required

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyse, and review geotechnical and hydrogeological designs in accordance with project requirements and standards
• Collect and validate field and lab data for data quality
• Develop geotechnical/hydrogeological models to support mine planning and design
• Provide technical advice to engineering teams and review contractor recommendations
• Prepare technical reports documenting results, assumptions, analyses, and conclusions
