Job summary

inDrive is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to own the Forecasting product that translates marketplace data into daily and monthly forecasts. You will manage a production solution (Python, BigQuery) that serves finance and leadership, ensuring credible numbers and actionable insights.

The role focuses on understanding how pricing, incentives, and events move metrics, and communicating assumptions and risks to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in analytics, forecasting or planning roles in marketplaces or product analytics.
• Understanding of plan/fact cycles, target setting, driver-based models and unit economics.
• Practical command of time-series forecasting with seasonalities and regressors.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas) to maintain production code.
• Advanced SQL and experience with large datasets in a cloud data warehouse.
• Rigorous validation with metrics tied to business impact.
• Ownership mindset across data, model, and integration layers.
• Business English communication to defend numbers before leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the forecast as a decision-making product: track plan vs actual and explain changes.
• Support planning cycles: baseline forecasts for budgeting and align with finance.
• Build and run scenario analyses for pricing, incentives, and marketing.
• Maintain dependency logic across supply, demand, and financial metrics.
• Translate business questions into measurable forecasting problems and communicate assumptions clearly.
• Run and monitor daily and monthly forecasts with data quality checks and drift analysis.
• Investigate anomalies end-to-end and improve production models pragmatically.
• Keep the codebase readable, documented and versioned.
