Job summary

Impactiva is seeking a Senior Process Engineer (Remote) to optimize upstream and downstream oil and gas operations. You will apply hydrocarbon processing knowledge, run process simulations, and support global projects from your home office.

Responsibilities include modeling with HYSYS/Aspen Plus, mass and energy balances, PFDs and P&IDs, and mentoring junior engineers. Strong remote communication and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive process engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Strong proficiency with Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
• Knowledge of hydrocarbon phase behavior and thermodynamics.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and hazard analyses.
• Strong communication and remote-working skills.
• PE certification desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize oil and gas processing operations, including separation, dehydration, sweetening, and stabilization units.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry (upstream or downstream).
• Strong proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
• In-depth understanding of hydrocarbon phase behavior, thermodynamics, and unit operations relevant to oil and gas processing.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) principles and hazard analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information remotely.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience supporting operations in regions such as **Samarinda, East Kalimantan, ID**, is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desirable.
