Job summary

TTW is seeking a Senior Façade Engineer to translate architectural concepts into detailed fabrication-ready drawings. You will manage small to medium projects with pricing, scheduling and client coordination, and lead a team of façade engineers and drafters.

You will apply engineering principles to propose practical solutions, produce technical documentation, and ensure compliance with codes and QA practices while developing client relationships and contributing to project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manages small, medium and some large scale façade projects, including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, scheduling, and budgets.
• Applies engineering principles to devise practical, economical solutions.
• Produces designs, documentation, specifications, and reports to meet client requirements.
• Leads a small façade engineering and drafting team, allocates resources and checks work.
• Prepares client reports and liaises with engineers and drafters to prepare façade documentation.
• Builds and maintains client relationships and supports staff development.
• Contributes to project profitability and ensures compliance with codes and QA practices.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned by a Director or Manager.

We are seeking a passionate Senior Façade Engineer to competently conduct façade engineering projects of reasonable complexity. If you get excited and have experience in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings that can be used for fabrication, construction, and installation then this will be a role for you.

In this role, you will accountable for the following:

• Assumes responsibility for management of small, medium and some large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Applies a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
• Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
• Manages small design team of façade engineers and drafters including planning allocation of resources (including staff), and checking of work.
• Preparation of client reports.
• Liaises with less senior Engineers and drafters to enable preparation of façade documentation.
• Develops and maintains relationships with clients.
• Assists in the management and training of staff.
• Contributes to the overall management and profitability of projects.
• Ensures compliance with applicable Codes and policies in all aspects – e.g. WHS practices, Quality Assurance.
• Check facade Engineers’ works including calculations and designs.
• Any other tasks reasonably requested by a Director or Manager.
