Job summary

PT Philips Indonesia seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Engineering to drive design, optimization, and deployment of production equipment across high‑volume lines. You will partner with Product Industrialization, Quality, and Operations to define manufacturing requirements and enable smooth transfers from design to production.

You will lead subprojects, support factory readiness for new products, and ensure safety and quality through updated QC plans and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with equipment installation, mechanical design, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement with strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design, development, and optimization of production equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate mechanical components using CAD and simulation tools.
• Evaluate mechanical designs for robustness, ergonomics, durability, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Drive mechanical improvements to equipment to enhance performance, reduce downtime, and support high‑volume manufacturing.
• Lead PDLM subprojects and ensure smooth transfer from design to manufacturing.
• Define production requirements and support factory readiness for new products.
• Review and update Quality Control Plans and Work Instructions for compliance and safety.
• Support equipment installation, process ramp‑up, and troubleshooting using PLC/automation knowledge.
• Drive design changes and process improvements across the product lifecycle.
• Implement Lean initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and resource utilization.
• Optimize Capex for recurring equipment and ensure seamless integration of new tools.
