Job summary

Philips International in Tangerang is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive end-to-end equipment design and integration for high‑volume production. You will collaborate with product industrialization, quality, and operations to define manufacturing requirements, support new product ramp‑ups, and optimize capex investments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical engineering, hands‑on equipment experience, and a strong grasp of lean methods and PLM processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, EHS, PLM, DFM, and CAPA
• Hands-on equipment installation, mechanical design, automation, and troubleshooting
• Ability to drive continuous improvement with strong project management skills

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design, development, and optimization of production equipment and tooling
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate mechanical components using CAD and simulation tools
• Evaluate mechanical designs for robustness, ergonomics, durability, thermal performance, and reliability
• Drive mechanical improvements to equipment to enhance performance, reduce downtime, and support high‑volume manufacturing
• Lead PDLM subprojects and ensure smooth transfer from design to manufacturing
• Define production requirements and support factory readiness for new products
• Review and update Quality Control Plans and Work Instructions for compliance and safety
• Support equipment installation, process ramp‑up, and troubleshooting using PLC/automation knowledge
• Drive design changes and process improvements across the product lifecycle
• Implement Lean initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and resource utilization
• Optimize Capex for recurring equipment and ensure seamless integration of new tools
