Job summary

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Jakarta seeks a Policy Advisor to provide policy advisory services and coordinate within the Energy Programme Indonesia. You will work with Indonesian government and German government partners to advance a sustainable energy transition.

The role involves designing ToR for consultants, organising events, building collaborations, and delivering high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

University degree in law and management.
At least 5 years of working experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, carbon markets.
Strong network in the Indonesian energy sector and ministries.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Good IT skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

Provide joint policy advisory services for government counterparts and German government.
Identify resources and develop ToR for external consultants and supervise deliverables.
Conceptualise, organise, facilitate, and document events, workshops and conferences.
Establish collaboration and capacity development measures for policy advisory activities.
Act as knowledge expert, present results to high-level representatives and stakeholders.
Monitor policies and regulations in Indonesia and globally and analyse implications.
