Job summary

BP in Indonesia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide electrical expertise for the Tangguh LNG generation and distribution network, supporting system integrity and reliable operation across the plant.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering, 10+ years in oil and gas, and hands-on ETAP experience for power-system analysis, with IEC Ex/ATEX knowledge and a focus on safe, compliant brownfield work.

Qualifications

10+ years of electrical engineering experience in oil and gas.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
Proficient in ETAP for power system analysis.
Experience with IEC Ex/ATEX hazardous-area design.
Strong problem solving and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

Provide frontline electrical engineering support for operations, startups, shutdowns, and equipment performance.
Apply risk management to identify and mitigate safety and reliability risks.
Lead RCFA investigations and implement corrective actions.
Develop and optimize maintenance strategies using historical data.
Ensure MOC, brownfield modifications, and project deliverables are properly assessed.
Support turnaround, outages, and field execution with technical input.
Monitor health of equipment and translate data into actions.
Maintain engineering records, calculations, drawings, and reports.
Coach engineers and technicians to share lessons and improve.
