Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) seeks an Electrical Construction Leader to manage on-site electrical construction activities, coordinating contractors, vendors, site engineers, design consultants, QA/QC, HSE, utility providers and commissioning representatives.

The role oversees installation of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, batteries, busway, cable trays, and related electrical infrastructure, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely execution across the project.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating electrical installation and power systems on large sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical construction management at the site with coordination of contractors and engineers.
• Oversee installation of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, and wiring.
• Coordinate utility interfaces, permanent power turn-on, and energization readiness.
• Coordinate normal, critical, and redundant electrical pathways for resilience."
• Review inspection plans, NCRs, and quality documentation.
• Support two-week and six-week look-ahead planning for electrical installation.
