Job summary

Amar Bank seeks a Senior Product Owner to drive initiatives across our digital banking portfolio, including retail, business, embedded banking, and Tunaiku. This role requires turning open-ended goals into measurable outcomes, then releasing, measuring, and deciding on continuations with evidence.

You will bridge strategy, data, design, and engineering, owning the cycle from discovery to validation and decision, while navigating compliance, risk, and SDLC constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management/ownership roles, with at least 2 years in mobile digital banking, fintech, or a comparably regulated environment.
• Ownership of a product area from ambiguous goal to evidence-based conclusion, not just feature delivery.
• Experience in compliance/risk-constrained environments and adherence to SDLC and experimentation standards.
• Track record of running rigorous experiments and using data to kill, adjust, or scale ideas.
• Experience coordinating delivery across functions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end discovery through customer interviews, market/competitive analysis, and problem validation.
• Coordinate across Product, Design, Research, Engineering, Business, Operations, and Compliance without formal authority.
• Partner with engineering to scope feasibility, trade-offs, and timelines.
• Partner with design on UX flows and usability validation before build.
• Define, prioritize, and groom the product backlog using structured frameworks.
• Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and design.
• Define metrics and data behind each measure and validate before concluding.
• Design and run experiments with proper control groups to inform go/no-go decisions.
• Release increments, measure, analyze, and document a continuing/adjusting/discontinuing decision.
• Own defects or operational issues post-release and stabilize initiatives.
• Report progress to leadership with data-backed narratives.
• Move across the bank's portfolio as priorities shift and carry initiatives to completion.
• Evaluate where AI/ML can meaningfully improve the product or workflows.
