Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with proven Oracle and SQL Server expertise to own database and platform operations for a Singapore data centre. You will lead HA/DR planning, perform performance tuning, and mentor junior staff across cross-border teams.

The role requires 7+ years in senior DBA or platform engineering, strong OS (AIX/Linux) skills, and a track record of reliable production support. On-site in Indonesia with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior DBA, Database Engineer, or Platform Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server — mandatory.
• Experience with AIX and enterprise Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end administration of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms.
• Plan and execute database patching, upgrades, configuration, parameter tuning, capacity planning, and growth forecasting.
• Support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures.
• Perform expert-level database performance analysis and troubleshooting, including slow queries, locking/blocking issues, and resource contention.
• Work closely with application teams to implement permanent solutions for performance issues.
• Lead backup strategies, DR exercises, and restore validation processes.
• Take ownership of OS patching strategies, including risk assessment and rollback planning.
• Mentor Junior Engineers through technical reviews and knowledge transfer.
• Review and approve high-risk DB/OS changes and maintenance activities.

WE’RE HIRING: SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER (Oracle / MSSQL & Unix Operations)

Are you an experienced Database and Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Unix/Linux environments? We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take technical ownership of mission-critical database and platform operations supporting a Singapore data centre.

In this role, you will act as the technical owner and L3 escalation authority for Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and AIX/Linux platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, performance, and scalability of critical IT infrastructure while handling complex technical incidents and mentoring a Junior Engineer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own end-to-end administration of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms
• Plan and execute database patching, upgrades, configuration, parameter tuning, capacity planning, and growth forecasting
• Support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures
• Perform expert-level database performance analysis and troubleshooting, including slow queries, locking/blocking issues, and resource contention
• Work closely with application teams to implement permanent solutions for performance issues
• Design and maintain Oracle RMAN strategies, SQL Server backup policies, retention policies, and restore validation processes
• Lead restore testing, DR exercises, backup Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preventive actions
• Take ownership of AIX and Linux patching strategies, including risk assessment and rollback planning
• Perform advanced OS troubleshooting involving kernel, filesystem, I/O, and performance issues
• Maintain OS hardening and baseline compliance
• Lead critical P1/P2 incidents and problem management activities
• Review and approve high‑risk DB/OS changes and maintenance activities
• Mentor Junior Engineers through technical reviews, runbook certification, knowledge transfer, and readiness validation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior DBA, Database Engineer, or Platform Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with BOTH Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server — mandatory
• Proven experience in database performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of backup, restore, and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning
• Experience with AIX and enterprise Linux administration
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good documentation skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across borders
