Job summary

Noraa & Co. is hiring a Senior Database Administrator in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role is critical for overseeing database reliability, performance, availability, backup, recovery, and security. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience and deep knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

The responsibilities include managing production databases, optimizing performance, and supporting engineering teams on various initiatives. Familiarity with cloud database services is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as a DBA or database engineer.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases.
• Experience with performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, clustering, and high availability.
• Experience managing large-scale transactional databases is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud database services is a plus.

Position Overview

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for database reliability, performance, availability, backup, recovery, and security. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with strong hands‑on database expertise in critical production environments.

Responsibilities

1. Database Operations
   • Manage, monitor, and maintain production databases.
   • Ensure database availability, performance, backup, recovery, and security.
2. Performance Optimization
   • Perform query tuning, indexing, schema review, and capacity planning.
