Job summary

Worley in Jakarta, Indonesia, seeks a Senior Bridge Structures Engineer to lead complex bridge design tasks, developing models for superstructures, substructures, foundations, bearings and joints, and applying vehicle, wind, seismic and other loads.

You will prepare calculations, drawings, specs and reports, coordinate with geotechnical and road teams, explore bridge alternatives, and support design reviews and site visits as part of Worley's global engineering service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of bridge or major civil-structure design experience.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and/or structural steel bridge design.

Responsibilities

• Develop bridge models and design superstructures, substructures, foundations, bearings, joints and associated elements.
• Apply relevant vehicle, dead, dynamic, braking, wind, seismic, hydraulic, scour, debris and construction loads.
• Prepare calculations, technical notes, reports, specifications, drawings, material take-offs and quantity inputs.
• Coordinate foundations and bridge approaches with geotechnical, civil, drainage and road requirements.
• Develop and recommend bridge alternatives, culvert options, span optimisation, staging, erection and temporary-access solutions for assigned packages.
• Develop concrete, reinforcement, steel, piling, foundation and scour-protection details.
• Resolve interfaces through coordinated models, drawings and review registers.
• Participate in design reviews, site visits, technical queries and checking activities.
