You will collaborate with clients and internal teams across the full development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and ongoing support. The role emphasizes scalable, secure backend solutions using Go or Java, with experience in SQL/NoSQL, microservices, and cloud deployments (AWS).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend experience.
• Proficiency in Go or Java and API design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building microservices and cloud apps.
• Strong security practices and code quality.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Experience working with clients or stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to new codebases and environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and translate them into backend solutions.
• Design, develop, and improve scalable, secure backend services.
• Collaborate with client teams and internal cross-functional groups.
• Understand existing codebases and architectures.
• Own significant backend components and workstreams.
• Communicate decisions, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive resolution.
• Promote engineering best practices and mentor others.
• Contribute to designs, documentation, and initiatives.
• Lead a team or workstream when called upon.
